You can still work while you are receiving or pursuing Social Security Disability benefits. The amount that you can earn on a monthly basis changes from year to year. for 2015 it was $1090/month and is $1130/month for 2016. In addition to the amount of work related earnings you have the Social Security Administration will look at other factors as well. Was the work part time or full time? Did the employer allow special accommodations for you to do the job? How long did the job last? So, it is not simply a matter of how much you were earning each month. This issue should always be discussed with your attorney as the situation varies depending on many factors.
